Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov gave an interview to CNN International’s “Connect the World” program hosted by Becky Anderson on April 4, 2016. He informed about recent tension in the contact line and stressed that Armenian armed forces targeting civil objects and civilians densely residing in the territories adjacent to the frontline area continue its provocative actions.

Minister mentioned that the aim of Armenia is to block the conflict settlement process by consolidating status-quo. He underlined that settlement of the conflict is possible on step-by-step approach based on Updated Madrid Principles.
