September 7 is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Japan.

On this occasion Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Japan, Gursel İsmayilzada met with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Ms. Yoshikawa Yuumi, and exchanged congratulatory letters between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Kishida Fumio, and the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, highlighting the importance of further development of the bilateral relations.
