On 17 December 2025, the Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction 2025 (#ACDR2025) officially commenced in #Tokyo, Japan, bringing together representatives of the ADRC and its 33 member countries. The Azerbaijani delegation is headed by Major General Mr. Niyazi Zamanov, Head of the Main Department for Organization of Activities on Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Conference focuses on strengthening disaster risk reduction (DRR), promoting its mainstreaming as a key pillar of sustainable development, and advancing regional cooperation in line with the "Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030".
