Ambassador Farid Talibov met with the Mayor of Kyoto, Koji Matsui

On April 8, 2026, Ambassador Farid Talibov met with the Mayor of Kyoto, Koji Matsui. During the meeting, Ambassador F. Talibov informed the other party about the essence of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku on May 17–22, 2026, the role of Azerbaijan as the host and the importance of the event, and also presented the official invitation letter addressed to the Mayor of Kyoto, Koji Matsui, by UN-Habitat. The Ambassador noted the large-scale restoration and modern urban development works carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, and emphasized that the experience of the city of Kyoto, which has a rich historical and cultural heritage, is of interest to Azerbaijan in terms of these processes.
