Embassy took part in the Meguro International Friendship Festival

On 7 March 2026, the Embassy took part in the Meguro International Friendship Festival held at Meguro Persimmon Hall. As part of the festival, which promotes intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among peoples, the Azerbaijani booth organized by the Embassy attracted considerable interest from visitors.

The booth showcased Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage through displays of national costumes, traditional handicrafts, and examples of decorative arts. Alongside the embassies of Poland, Togo, Kenya, Gabon, Botswana, and Sudan, local organizations and companies based in Meguro also took part in the festival.

The event opened with remarks by Mr. Eiji Aoki, Mayor of Meguro City, and Mr. Tadashi Kuriyama, Chief Director of the Meguro International Friendship Association. The festival served as an important platform for promoting Azerbaijani culture in Japan and strengthening friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.
